Standard: CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.7.2 Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content. Objective: SWBAT write their Mid-Unit performance task in multi-paragraph form Do Now: Step 1: Take out all items "On My Desk" Step 2: No homework Step 3: Please read a book, or review your evidence/brainstorming sheets for today's performance task Independent: Before students begin, we will review the word of the day, "grit" Students will write their Mid-Unit performance task If finished early students will review and revise. If finished early, and with extra time in the period, students will work on a quiet, independent activity.
